      本文从内涵和功能分析的角度,回顾了科学素质概念的两条研究进路,提出科学素质研究从来不是与价值无涉的。学界关于科学素质概念的知识建构,反映着社会的需求和价值观。因此,中国公民科学素质的研究,应基于中国当前经济社会的发展阶段,在保留当今世界各国公民科学素质共性要求的同时,把公民科学素质与中国百姓生存与发展关系最为密切相关的内容凸显出来,把广大劳动者对于自身科学素质最迫切的需求表达出来。
英文摘要:
      Starting from a review of connotative and functional definitions of scientific literacy,the author pointed out that definitions of scientific literacy were by no means of Value—free,but reflecting the demands and main—streaming social values of a specific society. Therefore,the definition of scientific literacy for the Chinese general public and its related researches are expected to put emphasis on the components representing the closest approaches towards living and development of the Chinese people, based on the current social and economical development status of China,while maintain the commonness of international consensus on public scientific literacy.
