      2008年度中国十大科普事件中，与公众生活生产密切相关的事件性科普占据总数近半。 “公共事件科普”的提出，利于增强传统科普内容的针对性、时效性、前沿性，提高公众对科学传播与普及的兴趣与关注，推动公众参与科普的主动性和积极性，巩固科学传播的效果和效应。此外，通过“风险社会”、“国家创新体系”的社会建制及公共事件对“世俗不经意”原理的打破等角度对公共事件科普的形成机理进行分析，并对公共事件科普对当前科学传播提出几点思考。

英文摘要:

      In the top 10 Chinese popular science events of 2008, about half have close ties with public life. And the rise of the notion of “the popular science of public event” favors the enhancement of the relativeness, the effectiveness and the cutting-edge of the tradition popular science content, enhances the public’s interest in and attention to the science communication and the popularization, impels the public’s initiative and enthusiasm in participating the process of popular science, and consolidates science communication’s effect. From the angles of “risk society”, the social organic construction of “national innovation system” and the breaking away from the principle of “the secular carelessness” by public event and so on, the analysis is done on the formation mechanism of the popular science of public event. The article also presents some considerations on the influence of the popular science of the public event on the contemporary science communication.
