      As the predecessor of the China Association for Science and Technology，the National Association of Popularization of Science and Technology（1950-1958）occupies an important position in the history of popular science in contemporary China. There is important theoretical and practical significance for today’s innovation of China’s scientific work and building an innovation-oriented country to research its historical development, as well as the characteristics and experience of popular science work.
