China’s Environmental NGO’s Characteristics and Its Role in Science Communication

      环境NGO作为独立于政府和市场的主体，发挥着越来越重要的作用，是环境保护领域的新生力量。在科学传播的过程中，环境NGO唤醒了人们的环保意识、为政府建言献策、促进了绿色经济的发展、为公众提供了咨询服务，成为政府工作的有效补充。在我国，环境NGO作为一个新兴的组织形态，发展过程中难免遇到阻碍，存在法律法规不够完善、资金匮乏、缺乏优秀人才、社会参与度不够等问题。本文通过文献研究和定性调查的方法，研究了环境NGO的科学传播活动和组织发展现状，并提出促进我国环境NGO发展的对策和建议。

英文摘要:

      As an independent part in the society，environmental NGOs are playing an increasingly important role，which is a new force of environmental protection. In the process of science communication，environmental NGOs awaken the people’s environmental awareness，offer advice and suggestions for the government，provide advisory services for the public and have become an effective complement to governmental work. In China, environmental NGOs，as a new organizational form， their development process will inevitably encounter some obstacles，for example，the lack of laws and regulations，funds，talents，social participation and so on. Through literature studies and qualitative survey methods，the authors have done a research on environmental NGO’s science communication activities and the status of the organizations，and give some advice about the measures of promotion.
