      科学竞赛是科学教育的重要组成部分。研究参加科学竞赛的学生有利于更好地发挥科学竞赛在选拔 人才培养科学兴趣方面的作用,同时也有利于科技后备人才的培养。国际科学与工程大奖赛是世界上最大的 面向初三到高三学生的科学竞赛。本文对我国大陆地区国际科学与工程大奖赛的参赛选手(2003 — 2013)进 行了回溯式调查,课题组通过电子邮件给所有被访者发送课题组自行研制的调查问卷,回收有效问卷70 份。 主要结果为:参赛选手男同学占绝对优势;我国选手擅长工程学、计算机和环境科学项目;参赛选手后续学 业都发展得很好,70% 的被访者都在求学期间获得奖励,85% 的选手都选择了STEM 领域的专业;高中阶段 是鼓励学生继续科学领域学习和从事科学领域工作的最佳时期。
英文摘要:
      Science competition is an important part of science education. This paper followed up 70 finalists of International Science & Engineering Fair(ISEF)from 2003—2013. The research team sent questionnaires to the targeted students through e-mails with 70 valid questionnaires obtained finally,the purpose of such move was designed to address the following issues:obtain the information of their future learning and work,and the major which they want to learn during different periods,etc. The results show that most of finalists are male,more projects belong to engineering subjects,computer science subjects and environments subjects,finalists show high enthusiasm in the learning,and 85% of finalists select STEM field as their major,and high school is the best period to encourage students to pursue science as their major. Finally,the paper puts forward some suggestions for cultivating young scientists.
