      民国时期，国步多艰，民力凋敝，期刊界学人目睹民众医疗卫生知识之贫乏及遭受疫病侵害之重， 遂办刊撰文普及传染病知识。各种期刊围绕传染病发病原因、传播途径、症状、治疗及预防等开展了广泛的 普及活动。通过普及活动增强了社会大众的防治意识，推动了国家公共卫生事业进步，也为患者带来了生存 希望和信心。

英文摘要:

      During the period of the Republic of China，the country suffered a difficult time，and the people were lacking knowledge about health，therefore，a great number of periodicals came to the forefront to assume responsibility for disseminating knowledge about infectious diseases to the public in a wider scope，such as the knowledge of pathogenesis，infectionroute, symptom，therapies，and the prevention methods. The popularization activities contributed to enhancing public’s awareness in the prevention，promoting the progress in national public health，and bringing hope and confidence to the infectious.
