      Having studied and compared the history of development，the function and management，as well as the sustainable development of the museums in China and in UK，the paper finds out the differences and gaps between the two countries’ museums， thus guiding the development of China's museums of science and technology by learning from the successful experiences of the UK museums and drawing lessons from their mistakes．
