      The beginning part of science essays by Gao Shiqi is ingeniously conjured by means of doubting， reasoning，interpretation，narrating，and poetry. Meanwhile，the artistic expressiveness of the essays is thus reinforced by adopting such rhetoric means as personification，metaphor，and analogy，which dovetails with the“Fengtou”writing style——the ingenious arrangement of the beginning part of the essays，adopted by the ancient Chinese writers. The paper tries to expound on the writing techniques and artistic effect of the beginning part of science essays by Gao Shiqi.
